a new art for the people

I am alive, I promise. It's just that getting ready for university & other summer activities rather get in the way of things. Anyway, my friend and I watched through all three Lord of the Rings movies in three consecutive days -- a cinematically amazing experience, if an exhausting one -- and my obsession with the films and books has recommenced. I didn't feel like Doing Things I Should Be Doing this morning, so I pulled out the extended edition DVD of The Two Towers and made some icons.

These are organised by character, and further LotR icon sets (which are likely) will be similarly structured. This set features Faramir, Frodo & Sam, and Merry & Pippin.

So maybe I'm a little obsessed with Patrick Wolf. That's quite all right, I think.

The first twenty icons are from assorted images drawn from all over the internets, and the last eight are from Patrick's music video for Wind in the Wires. It's something like a dark and swoony striptease and is pretty much the hottest thing I've ever seen. Just go and watch it. ♥

eep, I haven't posted icons since, um, September. I suppose, when matters like college applications, school, and NaNoWriMo pop up, fiddling around with Photoshop tends to fall on the list of priorities.

So here is a seasonal set of holiday/Christmas icons - I do believe the contrast is a bit weak on some of them because I'm working with a new laptop and the screen rather different in quality from what I'm used to. Just ignore those. :P
